Ready to make the switch to Canvas? Join us for this beginner-friendly workshop focused on the essentials of teaching in Canvas. Follow along during a live demonstration covering profile configuration, communication tools, Gradebook navigation, and course content management.
We highly recommend that you attend the “Building Your Course in Canvas” prior to this workshop if you haven't yet built a Canvas course. This workshop is for instructors who have built a Canvas course and are ready to get started teaching in Canvas.
By the end of this session, you will be able to:
- Communicate Effectively: Customize your Canvas notifications and use the built-in Inbox and Announcements to connect with students.
- Streamline Grading: Navigate the Canvas Gradebook, establish grading policies, and use SpeedGrader to efficiently evaluate submissions and provide feedback.
- Manage Assignments & Quizzes: Group and weight assignments, drop lowest scores, and customize quizzes with specific student accommodations.
