Canvas Links
Access the university’s new learning management system for course management.
- Access Canvas
- LTS Canvas Resource Hub: Main LTS resource page featuring a platform overview, FAQs, browser requirements, building content tutorials, and grading guides.
- LTS LMS Transition Hub: Central hub outlining transition timelines, self-guided resources, and updates regarding UIC’s transition from Blackboard to Canvas
Service Requests
- Request Course Copy or Blackboard Course Migration to Canvas: Transfer content from previous terms, or request technical assistance moving courses from Blackboard to Canvas.
- Request Course Site Template: Submit a request to import an accessible course template into your Canvas course site.
- Request Course Site Cross-Listing: Cross-list multiple course sections into a single Canvas parent site.
- Request Ongoing Site: Set up non-CRN sites, departmental resource hubs, committee pages, or “source/development courses.”
- Request Restoration of Archived Course Site: Request the restoration of a Canvas course that is more than 3 years old.

Transition & Content Migration
- Request Course Migration to Canvas: Submit a ticket to have your Blackboard course content copied to Canvas.
- How to Export Your Blackboard Content and Import it Into Canvas (LTS Quick Guide) – Use this guide to learn how to download your course materials as a .zip file from Blackboard, and how to upload that .zip file to an empty Canvas course shell.
