About
Evan is a Learning Management System Administrator at LTS, specializing in Blackboard. He started his career in IT as a Teaching Assistant for LTS in 2021 while completing his graduate degree at the university. After gaining experience in corporate IT support and administration, he has returned to the university full-time, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge from both educational and corporate environments. Evan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a Master’s degree in Germanic Studies, both obtained from UIC.
Much of Evan's IT education and expertise comes from self-studying for certificates and spending countless hours configuring and managing servers in a home lab environment. He has a deep passion for technology and is always eager to learn new skills and improve processes and support at the university.
Outside of work and professional development, Evan is an avid runner and soccer player. He also enjoys playing video games, reading, and spending quality time with his partner and their two cats.
