Adobe Captivate
This responsive authoring tool can be used for creating software demonstrations, software simulations, branched scenarios, and randomized quizzes in Small Web Formats (.swf) and HTML5 formats.
Adobe Captivate can be purchased by your department for installation on a UIC-owned computer, from the WebStore.
Adobe Captivate is also available for use by faculty and students on a number of computers and laptops available for lab use and checkout from the Technical Helpdesk located in the Idea Commons area of the UIC Daley Library.

Adobe Captivate offers accessibility features that allows users to easily navigate and read the Adobe Captivate web interface. The web interface supports screen readers for all available creator and viewer interfaces. The web interface also support keyboard access, allowing you to use the tab key to access all available functions. All sessions fully support adding and displaying captions. Adobe Captivate for Mac or PC, must be purchased for a fee, from the University of Illinois Webstore as a Unit Purchase using a Banner C-FOAPAL Account. Go to the Webstore, click on Unit Purchase then View Offers under Adobe Products. Scroll to the Captivate listing.

You may install this software on University-owned computers. One license is required for each user who will use the software.
